Dear Foresters,
I am looking for PHD funding -scholarships-assistantships - opportunities or a suitable PhD project-research in the area of Radar/Lidar Remote Sensing-EO-GIS for Forestry in the UK-Western Europe-Canada-U.S.A.
I am currently MSc student in GIS at UoE (Scotland-UK) and I hold two (honours) degrees in Forestry.
1. 1st Class (T.U.of Kavala,Greece.)
2. 2.1 class (UCLAN, UK).
Therefore, if you are able to help me or you have contacts in Research-industry-academia that they could help me or you have seen relevant PHD announcements starting in 2005-06, please contact me at

I've seen your post on finding a PhD position. unfortunately i can not give any hand about it but as a PhD student, i am really interested in sharing the common interests amongst the european and iranian foresters as there are so much common natural characteristics between our forest environments.
