The Erasmus Mundus Master's Degree Programme in European Forestry (MSc EF) is a 2-year double degree programme. MSc EF provides academic education in forestry focusing on the international dimension of sustainable forest management issues. The programme is an extra dimension to the already existing educational markets in forestry and nature management in Europe. In this programme, seven European universities*) collaborate intensively to offer joint courses to supplement their already existing curricula.
The international dimension of the programme is strengthened by the Partnership established with the Federal University of Parana in Brazil and Northwest Agriculture & Forestry University in China.
The MSc EF programme is open to students and professionals from all countries. Minimum requirements for applying to the MSc EF are a good level of English, and a Bachelor's degree in forestry or other related discipline.
The next application period to the course that begins in August 2010 will start in autumn 2009. Deadline for applications from non-European nationals is 31st November 2009. The call for EU/ETA nationals will be open during the 15th of January - 15th of March 2010. In addition, the MSc EF accepts applications from non-European scholars for carrying out research and teaching assignments and scholarly work for the MSc European Forestry Erasmus Mundus course at the MSc EF Partner Universities during a period of three months.
