  3. Spend more quality time with my wife and family as long as they tolerate my doing so.
  4. Do a better job of editing FIU
  5. Lose weight
  6. Maintain a web page listing all the inventory-related links that have appeared in FIU. See http://home.att.net/~gklund/invlinks.html .
  7. Show more kindness towards the neighbor's cat.
  8. Maintain a web page listing the upcoming resource inventory-related meetings, workshops, etc. See http://home.att.net/~gklund/invmeet.html .
  9. Grow more (any) hair - scratch that one!

HELP!

POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP OPPORTUNITY - University of Canterbury, School of Forestry in Christchurch, New Zealand. Available for a motivated individual to undertake forestry marketing and economic research as a part of an ongoing programme developing sustainability on Maori-Owned Indigenous Forest in New Zealand. The purposes of this programme are increased owner empowerment to undertake long-term asset management and capture greater benefits from forest ownership, and reduction in clear-felling of Maori-owned indigenous forest through improved performance of sustainable alternatives. Social, economic, and ecological aspects of sustainability are addressed. This is participatory action research; landowners are full partners at all stages. Marketing or market research skills are essential for evaluation of beech markets. A background in economics or econometrics with an interest in

information technology in addition to marketing would be helpful. Excellent oral and written communication skills and facilitation skills are required. The postdoctoral award is for a total of NZ$50,000 (approximately US$25,500) per annum for two years. Of this sum, NZ$44,000 per annum is a stipend for the fellow and NZ$6,000 per annum is available for expenses relating to the Fellowship. It would be preferable to fill the fellowship as soon as possible. An appointment will be made as soon as a suitable applicant is found. Candidates are required to have three referees submit reports directly to the Human Resources Registrar. Referees should provide telephone, fax and email contact details. Candidates should contact Ted Bilek at t.bilek@fore.canterbury.ac.nz or by mail at the University of Canterbury, School of Forestry, Private Bag 4800, Christchurch, New Zealand. Fax: 64-3-364-2124. In correspondence, quote opening F079.
