GENERAL

STEM PROFILE MODEL - Dr. W.T. Zakrzewski from the Ontario Forest Research Institute has developed a remarkable stem profile model. It was published in the Northern Journal of Applied Forestry (see abstract at http://www.safnet.org/pubs/northern/index.html). A guide for practical application of this model (a part of the locally valid timber product yield table maker) is at http://www.forestyield.com.

FREE ELECTRONIC ACCESS TO JOURNALS- The American Naturalist is available on line at http://www.journals.uchicago.edu/AN/journal/index.html. The Elsevier Science Publishers is providing free eletronic access to Forest Ecology and Management until 31 December 1999.
