Hi Folks! Sorry to have missed sending out FIU last week. I had the honor of participating in the Off-Forest Tree Resources of Africa Workshop last week in beautiful Arusha, Tanzania. This meeting was organized under the capable leader ship of August Temu (ICRAF) and Roger Malimbwi (Sokoine University). Nearly 70 people participated mainly from Eastern Africa. Many excellent papers were presented - the ones dealing with the inventory of this neglected resource interested me the most. A proceedings and recommendations will be forthcoming probably towards the end of the calendar year. We will post an announcement when they are available. To the organizers and hosts of the meeting - Asante! Gyde
