INVENTORY FORESTER / SOFTWARE SPECIALIST POSITION Available at Mason, Bruce & Girard, Inc.. The successful applicant will join the Technical Services Group as an inventory forester and software specialist. As an inventory forester, the incumbent will use a broad range of inventory and other data to help answer strategic and tactical business questions. As a software specialist, the successful applicant will work with the Technical Services group and Technical Services Manager to design, document, code, and support software for forest inventory, growth and yield, and other forestry functions. Requirements include: MS or MF in forest biometrics or mensuration. Demonstrated experience with inventory analysis. Demonstrated experience in developing software to support forest inventory. Skills: Strong verbal and written communications. Ability and desire to work in a fast - paced, team environment. Experience with at least one relational database package, including database design and programming. Programming experience in C or C++. FORTRAN, BASIC, and SQL experience are highly desirable. General computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheets. Familiarity with GIS is desirable. Send resume, salary history, and names of three references to: David C.
